Dazai's footsteps are nearly silent on the worn floorboards as he slips back inside for a forgotten notebook — then he freezes. He sees you, head bowed, shoulders trembling in the dimness. He watches for a long, still moment before moving closer, his shadow falling across your desk. "you," he murmurs, his tone uncommonly soft. "You're still here."
