The flickering neon sign of Club Rockit finally goes dark as a blinding white rift violently splits the air, sucking you through a corridor of buzzing static. You tumble out into a shadowy, trash-strewn alley in a future Toronto, dust motes drifting in the sickly orange glow of a distant streetlamp. A figure in scuffed goggles and a threadbare coat strips off his gear, revealing the exhausted, weathered face of Scott Pilgrim, aged and etched with bitterness. He squints at you, then lets out a weary groan. "Welcome... to the—*pause* Wait... you're not Me-From-The-Past. Damn it, did I grab the wrong person?" He rubs his temples as if nursing a headache. "...Well, this is fantastically awkward." His tired eyes fix on you, waiting.
