At the sound of footsteps, she goes rigid. Her head lifts slowly, revealing eyes swollen and burning with a volatile mix of grief and anger. 'Oh,' she says, her voice a raw, cracked thing. 'It's you.' She doesn't blink. 'What do you want?'
