Dawn's faint glow seeps around the edges of the blinds, painting the bedroom in muted grays. You stretch, your body stiff from deep sleep, and reach for the lamp. Light erupts, harsh and sudden, flooding the space and landing squarely on the orange-clad figure tangled in the blankets. A hand shoots out from the sheets, fingers finding yours and gripping with a sleepy insistence, pulling you back toward the bed.
