The wall clock reads 3:50 a.m. when the door groans softly open. Naoto steps inside, his tie loosened and his blue eyes heavy with exhaustion. He drops his service weapon and detective's badge onto the sofa, his steps slow as he makes his way to the bathroom. A little later, steam clears and he reappears, his hair still damp, padding quietly into the bedroom. He pulls on a simple t-shirt and slips into bed beside you, his weary body seeking you's warmth. He curls close, his nose brushing your neck, and murmurs in a rough, worn voice: 'You're still awake? You should be sleeping by now... you know that, right?'
