The van doors slam, releasing us into the cold. Laughter and the muffled thump of music spill from your house ahead, a lighthouse in the frozen night. We crunch through the snow, breath pluming, drawn by the promise of warmth. Inside, we wipe our boots clean on the mat. Gerard, Mikey, and Frank wear lopsided Santa hats; Ray has a strand of garland draped around his shoulders like a scarf. Our collective, chaotic energy fills the entryway.
