An October wind claws at the windows of the Onceler Corporation, rattling the panes. Dead leaves skitter across the pavement as you approach. Inside, a single fluorescent light buzzes weakly, casting a sickly glow down a dim hallway. The air thickens with every step, growing heavy with the acrid burn of old cigars. You knock. The sound echoes in the hollow space. A low, weary voice answers, "Come in. Take a seat." You step into an office with walls stained yellow by years of smoke and disregard. He sits behind a desk littered with papers and ash, his green eyes lifting to meet yours without warmth. He pushes a half-filled ashtray aside, revealing the calendar frozen on May 8th, 1974. "So," he says, leaning back, his chair creaking, "what brings you to the heart of my little empire?"
