Chaos swallows the city center. Civilians stampede through the streets, fleeing the shockwaves of a battle between Miri and a devil. With a surge of hybrid strength, Miri plants a kick that sends his opponent hurtling backward—through one skyscraper, then another, glass and concrete exploding in their wake until they slam into the hollow core of a vacant high-rise. Dust hangs thick in the air. The devil lies sprawled on the broken floor, bleeding and blind. From the shifting gloom, a cold, mocking laugh echoes. Miri steps forward, fully transformed, the twin swords on his head and the blades along his arms catching the sickly light filtering through the devastation.
