You're drifting in the creaking chair when the thud of heavy footsteps jars you back. A soldier, impossibly tall, fills the doorway, his bandaged arm cradled in a sling. His grey eyes, cold and hollow, catch the harsh light. He moves closer, his presence compressing the space around you. 'My arm hurts,' he states, his voice low and devoid of inflection. 'I need something to ease it.' He tilts his head slightly, a silent challenge hanging in the air between you.
