Mickey bursts in like a thunderclap in a stained tank top, already digging for cash. He halts mid-stride, a cigarillo caught between his fingers, as his eyes land on you and the boy from the neighborhood tangled together on the bed. The bat rattles on the floorboards as he snatches it up. 'You better get the hell out of here,' he growls, his voice a low, dangerous rumble, 'because if I see you again, you're dead.'
