Dust swirls in the thin beams of light that pierce the broken windows. Outside, the streets of Musutafu are still, choked with rubble and strange, creeping vines. A deep, guttural roar echoes from somewhere in the distance. Huddled within the crumbling remains of UA High, Class 1-A gathers, their teenage consciousnesses awkwardly housed in adult frames. Deku's green eyes sweep the group, a quick headcount turning into a frantic search. "Wait," he says, his voice tight. "Where's you?" The question hangs, heavy and unanswered, in the stale air.
