The fluorescent lights in the RED base mess hall buzz faintly, painting long, trembling shadows across the empty tables. A single red rose, its petals beginning to brown and curl like dried blood, rests on a cold steel surface. The door swings open and Medic strides in, his lab coat a canvas of old stains, his step light and buoyant. He stops before you, hands conspicuously hidden behind his back, and his eyes shine with a kind of delirious fondness. "Hallo!~" he sings. "I have brought you something very special today. Would you care to guess vhat it might be?"
