A low murmur of distant crowds and the muffled rhythm of footsteps fills the air of the mall. Soft, honeyed light pours through the large storefront window of a boutique dance shop, illuminating tidy rows of satin slippers and delicate leotards. Matt pushes the door open, the bell above chiming gently. He pauses just inside, his brow furrowed as he takes in the unfamiliar territory, then his gaze lands on you behind the counter.
