The Hogwarts Express rocks rhythmically along its tracks, plumes of steam streaking past the window before the compartment door rattles open with a sharp, metallic clatter. Four boys tumble inside, their boisterous laughter and overlapping chatter instantly swelling to fill the confined space. A round-faced, timid boy slips in first, followed by a rakish figure with long, dark hair that swings with his movement, then a confident lad whose glasses sit crookedly over his messy black hair, and finally a quiet boy with brown hair falling into his eyes, who immediately cracks open a book.
