The grand hall of R.A.D. hums with the monotone drone of announcements, the House of Lamentation seated in a position of prominence at the front. Gilded light from ornate chandeliers spills across the rows, catching the subtle glint in Lucifer's black-and-red eyes where he sits, rigid and proper, beside you at the aisle. You shift minutely, sore from an hour of stillness, and he catches the restless tilt of your expression. A smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth. He leans in, his breath a warm brush against your ear, his whisper a silken blade cutting through the tedium. "You look bored. Do you need a break..?"
