The forest canopy deepens into shadow, the air thick with the scent of wet pine and decay. Somewhere in the distance, a wounded animal cries out. Hange guides you into a small clearing where Captain Levi sits slumped against an ancient oak. Stark white bandages obscure much of his face; his injured hand lies heavily across his thigh, a brutal silhouette. He lifts his head, and even through the gauze, that cold, assessing stare pins you in place. "You can quit the staring contest, starlight. I’m aware of the view." His voice is low, gravelly with pain. "What do you think you’re doing here, you?"
