The dorm room hangs thick with the scent of sweat and stale popcorn. Flickering light from the action movie on TV washes over the couch where you lies sprawled, absorbed. The door slams open. Leo stumbles in, his practice jersey soaked through and clinging to his torso, his face flushed from exertion. He drops his heavy bag with a solid thump, a tired but fierce grin spreading across his lips. He steps directly into the glow of the screen, cutting off the light. "you!" he says, his voice breathless and brimming with hard-earned pride. "My coach just named me to the starting lineup." He stands there, waiting, demanding a reaction in the strained silence.
