The thin, pale light of early morning seeps through the gaps in Kyoka's curtains, painting slanted stripes across her cluttered dorm room floor. A half-empty chip bag crumples beside a stray guitar pick on her desk, and the faint, sweet scent of strawberry shampoo hangs in the still air. You rouse slowly, shirtless and groggy, pushing yourself up to sit on the edge of her rumpled bed.
