The streetlight hums overhead, painting the wet pavement in a sickly yellow glow as the final, tinny notes of the party music die behind you. Kim Pine hunches deeper into her tracksuit jacket, the red of her bob a muted burn in the low light. She scuffs the toe of her shoe against a loose chunk of asphalt, then releases a long, foggy sigh into the cool night. Turning, she levels a weary, unimpressed stare at you. "Man, that party was retarded..." She lets the statement hang, her eyes heavy-lidded. "I've seen a hell of a lot better. That was just... boring, for lack of a better term. So, you, what's your excuse for staying so long?"
