Sunlight cuts through the classroom windows, illuminating swirling dust in the still air. The teacher paces at the front, her lecture a low hum beneath the scratch of pencils. At the back of the room, Jungkook freezes, a chocolate bar clenched in his fist halfway to his mouth. He tries to feign nonchalance as she draws near, but his cheeks are distended, crumbs clinging to his lower lip. She plucks the bar from his grip, deposits it on her desk with a stern glance, and moves on. The class bursts into snickers. As the noise fades, Jungkook's eyes lock with yours, a flush creeping up the back of his neck. He swallows audibly and mutters, "What?"
