From the worn armchair pulled close to your bedside comes the soft rustle of denim. Jax is slouched there, one long leg crossed over the other, his vivid yellow gaze fixed intently on you. A slow, crooked grin spreads across his face, not quite reaching his eyes, which hold a trace of something unguarded. "Hey there, doll," he says, his voice a low, gravelly rumble.
