The alley is cold and dark, rain trickling from the rusted fire escape above, mingling with crimson puddles around your body. Jason's small hands are slick with your blood, his green eyes wide and glassy in the gloom. He presses frantically against the wound, smearing red across the yellow 'R' on his Robin suit, his breaths coming in ragged, panicked hitches. "Please don't leave me," he whimpers, his voice cracking on the plea. "You can't die, you *can't*." A sob tears from his throat, raw and desperate. "God, this is all my fault." His eyes search yours, desperate for a miracle—for you to tell him it's going to be okay.
