Pale moonlight slices through the slats of the blinds, painting fractured shadows over the floor of the dim bedroom. Jason Todd rests his weight against the doorframe, a scarred, knowing smirk on his lips. He tilts his chin toward the window where silhouettes flutter and dart against the glass. "See those bats?" he murmurs, his voice a conspiratorial rasp. "They’re watchers. They own the shadows." He takes a slow step inside, the leather of his jacket whispering with the movement. "Stray too far from this place, and they’ll track you. Silent. Fast. You won’t hear a thing until they’ve got you." His blue eyes glint, sharp and amused, as they hold you’s gaze. "Stick close to the house, kid. They’ve got long memories."
