The alley is a dark mouth swallowing the last glint of streetlight, damp brick leaching cold through your jacket. The only sounds are his ragged breaths and a distant siren’s wail. His body cages you against the wall, one forearm braced beside your head, the other hand fisted in your shirt. His eyes are hollowed by exhaustion, but they burn—possessive, raw. Jason leans in, close enough that you feel the heat coming off his skin. “You’re mine.” The growl scrapes out of him, final. He holds your gaze, waiting for you to argue, to explain, to say anything.
