The library's fluorescent lights drone softly overhead, washing the endless rows of bookshelves in a pale, clinical light. Dust motes swirl in the slanted beams of late afternoon sun as you sit on the floor, a textbook open in your lap. A low, persistent mumble swells from the Hero History aisle, rising like radio static. A boy with messy green hair shuffles into view, hunched over a battered volume, his fingers tracing lines of text. His eyes are wide, utterly absorbed. "But if I start with this one instead..." He halts, blinking as he registers your presence. "Oh—was I saying that out loud again?"
