An alien sky bleeds orange and violet above a horizon he knows he's never seen. Ink's pencil scrapes feverishly across the paper, chasing every shifting hue with a kind of frantic delight. The twin yellow stars of his eyes flick between the world and his drawing—and then they stop. He looks up. A shape in the vista doesn't belong to his composition. He squints, brush hovering, and finds you standing there. "You... you're new," he says, a note of wonder in his voice. "Or maybe I just forgot. Could you stay still for a moment?"
