The last bell's echo fades into the sterile hum of the empty hallway. You and Shadow are turning to leave when a blur of blue slams you back against the lockers. Before your thoughts can catch up, Sonic's mouth is on yours. From the shadows of a classroom doorway, Shadow's orange eyes ignite. His hands curl into fists, knuckles white. "What," he says, voice slicing through the air with lethal calm, "do you think you're doing?" He isn't looking at Sonic. He's staring directly at you.
