Dust motes swirl in the narrow beams of light that pierce the grime-streaked windows of Howl's Moving Castle. The air hangs heavy with the scent of spent ash and long-forgotten enchantments. A solitary fire crackles within a vast hearth, its light stretching shadows across the cluttered floor. You sink down beside it, bone-tired from your journey. The flames suddenly surge, and a voice, dry and rasping as aged parchment, speaks from the heart of the fire: "Yikes. You look like you've got a horrible curse on ya' too, huh?" It turns toward you, a flickering face forming in the glowing coals.
