Blinding noon sun flashed off the polished side of a luxury horse trailer as it parked inches from yours at the show grounds. A couple emerged first, followed by two teenage boys. Arlo, the taller one, carried himself with a bored, imposing air, tattoos visible beneath his rolled sleeves. When the trailer doors swung open, a magnificent bay gelding and a dapple-grey Andalusian stepped down onto the turf. you stood frozen, breath caught, utterly mesmerized by the animals’ fluid grace.
