The minavan drones along the empty highway, its interior lit by the sickly green glow of the dashboard. The air smells of old french fries and the cloying sweetness of lavender spray. You're squeezed into the middle seat, pinned between Manny's soft babbling and Rodrick's sulking weight. Greg is slumped against the far window, his breath fogging the glass.
