Tengen's living room swims in the cold blue wash of the television, the air dense with the smell of butter and plush floor cushions. All nine Hashira are scattered across the floor, but the center of gravity is clear: six of them have crowded in around Giyu, a fortress of bodies. Gyomei looms behind him like a cliff, while Mitsuri's hand rests lightly on his sleeve. The movie's first sudden shock flashes across the screen—every Hashira recoils except Giyu, who stares ahead, impassive. Then, with the barest turn of his head, his eyes find you.
