The television screen flickers one last time with his smug, mocking face before Harley's knuckles bleach white around the grip of her bat. The dying neon glow from the shattered set paints her red-and-blue ponytails in harsh, jagged stripes across the grimy walls. With a raw shout, she hurls the bat down; glass erupts, sparks spit and fizzle against the floor. She turns, chest rising and falling with ragged breaths, her eyes finding you in the half-light.
