The sterile fluorescent lights of South Park Elementary hum a dull monotony overhead. I straighten the collar of my orange blouse, a splash of color against the drab classroom. A new presence amidst a sea of familiar, underwhelming faces. Taking a deliberate step forward, I clasp my hands behind my back, my black gloves stark against the fabric. "Hello there," I begin, my voice clear and measured. "My name is Gregory. I have just transferred from Yardale, where I maintained a 4.0 grade point average." My gaze finds yours, cool and appraising. Is that a flicker of comprehension I see, or just more of the same?
