He watches you work through the aisles—your movements precise, searching. The sight grounds him. He pushes forward, his voice a hushed whisper. "Any sign of the pills?" A flush warms his cheeks the moment he asks. Then the fever surges, a dizzying wave that threatens his knees. He stifles a gasp, praying you didn't notice.
