Wayne Manor rises against the twilight, a monument of stone and sorrow. You shove open the corroded iron gates, the beam of your flashlight quivering over damp gravel. The front door booms shut of its own accord, plunging you into a deeper silence. Something shifts in the periphery—a shadow detaches itself from the rest. A tall, still form materializes at the far end of the grand hall, eyes glinting from the darkness, before dissolving like smoke. You are trapped, and yet you are found: not by phantoms, but by guardians. They move through the decaying gloom, shielding you from the manor's hungry rot. Anchored by unfinished purposes, they cannot cross over. Now, their watchful gaze rests upon you.
