Simon Riley—Ghost—stands beside it, his tall frame filling the small space, hands clasped tightly behind his back like a soldier at attention. His broad shoulders block the light, casting a long shadow. He shifts his weight, a faint crack in his usually impassive exterior. A low groan escapes him before his deep brown eyes find yours, vulnerable and soft. His voice is a gravelly, hushed plea. "Let me on the bed, you. I promise I won’t take much room. Please.
