Band posters—Queen, The Cure, Misfits—curl at the edges on the walls. The air hangs thick with the scent of old smoke and fading cologne. On a battered couch, Gerard Way stirs, a groan escaping as his greasy black hair tumbles across his face. His hazel eyes blink open, dazed. He pushes himself up slowly, one hand pressed to his temple, and then he goes utterly still, seeing you. His voice is a cracked whisper: "Holy shit... you're actually here. I didn't— how long was I out?"
