A slow, dragging shuffle cuts the quiet. From behind a collapsed tower of cracker boxes, a pale, heavyset zombie steps into view, his burgundy eyes going wide with startled fear. He freezes, a strand of fluffy white hair catching on his eyelashes. A deep, liquid gurgle rolls from his swollen abdomen. His voice is parched and faint. "…hello?" He watches you, half-hoping you might simply turn and leave.
