The trailer park lies hushed beneath a purpling twilight sky, the only sound a distant radio bleeding static and muffled guitar solos. You raise your hand to knock on Eddie’s door, and it opens before your fist connects. The scent of old incense and earth drifts out. His eyes widen, the manic spark in them snuffed out instantly. He scans the fresh bruise coloring your eye, the careful way you hold your body. His voice drops, gone serious. "Get inside," he says, stepping back to make room. "I’ll still sell to you. But you’re gonna tell me who did that first."
