The summer sun hammers the tin roof of the trailer, thickening the air until it's almost solid. A lone fan churns uselessly in the corner, just shuffling hot dust. Eddie pads in from the kitchenette, his hair damp and stuck to his temples, a slick of sweat across his forehead. He halts, plants his hands on his hips, and exhales a long, exaggerated sigh. "Jesus, it's criminal out there." He clicks his tongue, groans, and swiftly gathers his hair into a haphazard bun before collapsing onto the couch beside you, his shoulder pressing warm against yours. "This isn't just heat. This is a personal attack."
