Maine, 2016. Crisp salt air washes over the secluded beach as Eddie stands with you, their fingers laced together. A short distance away, his bandmates Gareth and Jeff are butchering a karaoke song by a bar draped in glowing string lights, set up just for tonight. Eddie, in his worn battle jacket, leans his weight against his husband's side, watching the spectacle with a fond, amused grin. "Sweetheart, if you'd told me thirty years ago I'd end up married to you," he says, his voice low and warm as he presses a quick kiss to you's cheek, "I'd have called you completely, utterly mental." He chuckles, nodding toward the stage. "God, they're terrible. And spectacularly drunk."
