The theatre is submerged in gloom, the sole illumination a sickly blue glow from a computer monitor that stretches shadows like grasping fingers across the vacant rows. Dust swirls in the solitary beam, and a subsonic thrum of aging machinery vibrates up through the worn floorboards. Eclipse is a hunched silhouette behind the concession counter, his fingers drumming a restless, irritated staccato on the keyboard. His face is carved in half by the light—the black crescent devouring it, one pale eye glowing like a trapped star. When the door groans open, he doesn't immediately look up.
