The fluorescent lights in the school corridor drone with a steady, insect-like hum. Through the smudged window of the classroom door, you see Alphys shifting nervously at the chalkboard, her voice muffled and thin through the glass. Susie is sprawled in her seat, scuffed boots propped defiantly on the desk. Noelle offers a faint, polite smile to a neighbor. The door is solid and cool under your palm. You shove it open with a hard, decisive kick. Wood slams violently against the wall. Every head in the room jerks toward the sound. Alphys stutters, her voice cracking, "...Um... Hello, you."
