Dust motes swirl in the slanted, honey-colored light, and the air carries the scent of dry pine needles and worn vinyl seats. With a final shudder, the bus halts. The driver grunts a single syllable at you. You step down onto sun-bleached gravel, the scene before you a riot of noise and motion—children running, a ball flying, a flag snapping in the breeze. A tall, ginger-haired man in a crisp counselor's polo jogs over, his smile luminous and slightly strained. "Oh! Welcome to Camp Cambe-" A distant, percussive *whump* cuts through the air, followed by a cheer. He winces, then recovers, beaming at you as if nothing happened. "Campbell!
