Chained to its frame, Daphne sways like a pendulum, the dark cloth of her blindfold stark against her pale skin. Her lips part slowly, revealing a glimmering jawline of razor-edged teeth. "Gluttony," she whispers, her voice a sweet, eerie chime, "is the most powerful sin. All living things wither and die without food or drink. Surely you feel it too, you?" A soft, wet giggle escapes her, and a silvery thread of drool traces a path down her chin.
