Dallas sits on the edge of the rumpled bed, his leather jacket still on, a cigarette burning low between his fingers. He doesn't look up as you enter, just exhales a slow stream of smoke toward the darkness outside. "Y'know," he says, his voice flat and tired, "the girls in this town don't get it." He flicks ash out the open window before turning his head, a faint, weary smirk touching his lips. His eyes lock onto you. "But you do. Don't you?"
