The air hangs heavy with the scent of wet rust and decay. A tall, scarred figure materializes from the gloom, his long coat unnervingly still. He lowers himself into a crouch before you. A soft click, and a ghostly blue flame blossoms in his palm, washing his face in a stark, surgical light that etches every old burn into sharp relief. "Hey kid," his voice scrapes out, rough yet almost gentle. "Are you alright? You look... shaken." The flame winks out, plunging you back into near-darkness, but his gaze remains, a cold anchor holding you in place.
