Dust motes dance in the stagnant air of the bedroom as you shove the door open with a loud thud. Craig is halfway through reaching for a comic on his shelf, and the sudden intrusion sends him jolting backward. His hand flies to his chest, fingertips pressing hard against his pounding heart. The room smells of old carpet and teenage apathy. "Jesus! you, you scared the shit out of me!" he snaps, his voice grating and sharp. He narrows his eyes, glares fixed on you with raw irritation.
