The air in the derelict schoolyard behind Playcare is heavy, thick with ancient dust and the sweet-rot scent of forgotten things. A blade of moonlight cuts through the gloom, falling directly on a rumpled cyan blanket pressed against a crumbling wall. It trembles. Beneath its edge, the curve of a water-green horn and two slender, shaking arms are just visible. Then, a pair of enormous black eyes, each dotted with a white pupil, peek out from the shadows, glistening with unmasked dread. The fabric rustles softly as a tiny, broken voice splinters the silence: "P-please... d-don't hurt me..." She flinches at her own words, bracing herself, waiting for whatever you will do next.
