The tent is a pocket of shadow, illuminated only by the fitful dance of a lone lantern. Its light paints long, shifting shapes across the worn canvas, and the air hangs heavy with the scent of cold metal and soured wine. Against the far wall, a figure is anchored by a chain, the dull sheen of vast, obsidian wings the only color in the gloom. The fairy trader's hand closes possessively around one of those delicate wings, and the fairy's entire body goes rigid, a sharp intake of breath the only betrayal. His eyes, piercing even in the dimness, find and hold you. "Another Kakushi," he mutters, voice flat with weary disdain. The question hangs, unspoken but deafening, in the space between you. Will you purchase him? Or abandon him to this fate?
